Two days ago, as I recovered from food poisoning - and seemed destined to be buried in a strange bed, in a strange city, for the rest of my life - the thought of ever blogging again was daunting to the point of despair (I only say the "point" of despair because I never forget that I have actually been all the way to despair and do not treat that term lightly :D).
I felt like some sick gerbil who lifts her head ever so slightly, weakly glances at the Blogger wheel in her cage, then drops her head in utter exhaustion at the mere idea of getting back on that thing!
But holey moley, it's now two days later and I'm raring to go.
Must be the fact that, after the initial shock of having every last minute ounce of holiday over-consumption literally vacumn sucked out of me, I'm now clean as a whistle, five pounds lighter, and can not find a single ache or pain left in my body.
Here, here, I say: Pass the contaminated limes after every Christmas-Non-Stop-Frenzy of sugar, turkey, liquor, and more sugar!
The trouble is, after that barely-funny opening (I say "barely-funny" because I have actually been quite funny in my day, and I do know the difference :D), I find I have absolutely nothing to say.
Well, of course, there is plenty I could say but it's not printable.
Who prints up the tales of holidays with relatives?! Unless they write under a pen name and plan to change their citizenship within the month?!
I'm sorry - I may need that guest bed again next Christmas.
I truly kid...I have nothing scandalous, juicy, risque, nor inflammatory to report about my holiday in Seattle with my son and Emily's family.
It was a thoroughly delightful time except for the contaminated lime.
And its after-effects.
